COOPERSTOWN – The Leatherstocking Brush & Palette Club of
Cooperstown has announced Bea Schedivy as July’s artist of the month.
Schedivy is a summer resident of Canadarago Lake in Richfield Springs. She lives in Crystal River, Fla. in the winter.
After originally being self-taught, she started attending classes at
Munson Williams Institute of Art in Utica with Everett Addelman. Other
teachers she studied with include Buz Romeling, of Cooperstown, Tom
Natoli, of Utica, and Paula Beaulieu of Monkegan Island, Maine.
In Crystal River, Schedivy belongs to the Beverly Hills Art Group and the Inverness Art Group and does many shows.
For several years, she has been a member of the Leatherstocking
Brush & Palette Club, where her work can be seen at the local
gallery at 52 Pioneer Street, Cooperstown.
Schedivy’s watercolors reflect her love of flowers and nature.
The gallery is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in July and August.
