Milford church hosts dinner and auction

On Saturday, the Milford United Methodist Church, located on Route 28 in the village of Milford, will hold its traditional ham dinner and silent auction from 4:30-6:30 p.m. The buffet dinner is by donation and will consist of ham, potatoes, vegetables, rolls, coffee, tea, milk and an assortment of homemade pies. This ham dinner is known for its special secret sauce prepared by one of the church members. No reservations are needed. The silent auction will commence at 4:30 and bids will be taken until 7 p.m. The winners will be announced at 7 p.m. The following have been donated for the silent auction: a T.S. Pink Soap Rocks gift basket, an hour massage gift certificate, batch of homemade molasses cookies, basket of fall goodies, Pfaltzgraff ceramic and iron napkin holder, handmade treasure box, $50 Central Tractor gift certificate, autographed Juan Marichal baseball, one-room doll house and furniture, handmade “Ferdinand the Horse” baby quilt, a one-night stay at Stone Lodge in Old Forge, a double-bed size quilt, Princess House glass hanging lantern, Reiki treatment gift certificate, girl’s sleepover kit, Christmas wreath, iron cat doorstop, woman’s relaxation gift basket, basket of seashells, Euro-Pro convection oven, Blooms for the Winter Blahs gift certificate, Sage Center gift basket, framed felted picture, amaryllis kit, Arctic Blast snow shovel, slow cooker, and a Christmas Eve visit to your home from Santa Claus.
The church is handicapped-accessible. All are invited to come and enjoy the dinner, the auction, or both.
