COOPERSTOWN – Hunt-seat riders are welcome to submit entries for the
Farmers’ Museum Tenth Annual Benefit Horse Show, scheduled for Sunday,
June 11, at the River Road Showgrounds, County Route 33, Cooperstown.
The show, which offers equestrians the opportunity to test their
horsemanship skills, features a range of classes for beginner through
open riders.
The closing date for pre-entries is June 9; entries will also be
accepted the day of the show for an additional charge of $1 per class.
Classes include open beginner hunter, special hunter, adult hunter, and open hunter under saddle and over fences.
The equitation division includes open, adult, junior, beginner, and
walk-trot classes. There will also be a lead line class and the
Cooperstown Good Hands equitation class for junior riders.
Five championships will be awarded as well as the Josef Neckermann
Perpetual Trophy, presented to the best child rider, and the John
Moffat Perpetual Trophy, granted to the champion in the equitation
division.
A warm-up over-fences class will be offered from 6:30-8:30 a.m. The show begins at 9 a.m.
In addition, the Fourth Annual Patrons’ Luncheon will also be offered at noon.

Admission to the show is $3. Attendees will also receive a pass for
free admission to the Farmers’ Museum, good if redeemed from June 11 to
Aug. 31.
Dogs are welcome at the show, but must be leashed at all times.
Proceeds raised by the Benefit Horse Show will support the education programs at the Farmers’ Museum.
