Library getting ready for Brooks’ Barbecue
|
SPRINGFIELD CENTER – The Springfield Library is busy getting ready for its Annual Brooks’ Chicken Bar-B-Q Sunday, Sept. 14, from 12-3 p.m. There will be homemade pies for dessert.
The dinner will consist of a half chicken, potatoes, baked beans, French kraut, rolls and a beverage. Take-outs will also be available. Proceeds will benefit the library.
The annual cake walk on July 4 and book signings by two local authors were successful ventures. The library would like to thank all the people who made cakes and those who won them.
The library has computers, wireless connection, copy and fax services. Its hours are Monday and Thursday, 2-8 p.m., Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m. to noon.
The library has new books by Danielle Steel, Jeff Shaara, Lori Wick, Stephen Bly, James Patterson and more.
Call 315-858-5802 for more information.
