Library offers two baseball programs

COOPERSTOWN – Present at the Creation: How the National Baseball Hall of Fame Happened to Come to Cooperstown is the topic of the next Cooperstown Bicentennial Lecture, which will be held, Thursday, at 7 p.m. Hall of Fame Senior Researcher Bill Francis and Research Director Tim Wiles will give a slide-illustrated lecture on the founding and impact of the Hall of Fame. The talk will be held in the Village Meeting Room, downstairs from the Cooperstown Village Library at 22 Main St., Cooperstown. It is sponsored by the Friends of the Village Library. Also, on May 16, Cooperstown Librarian David Kent will hold the first in a series of local author conversations, at 7 p.m., in the village library. Kent will interview Jeff Katz, author of “The Kansas City A’s & The Wrong Half of the Yankees: How the Yankees Controlled Two of the Eight American League Franchises During the 1950’s.”
