RSCS Reunion - August 20-22 2010

2009 Rotary Valentine’s Dinner a success

Hearts soared and lovers and friends celebrated at the recent annual 2009 Valentine Wonderland Senior Citizen Dinner, hosted by the Richfield Springs Rotary Club at Richfield Springs Central School’s cafeteria.

Elbow room only –  More than 180 diners packed the RSCS cafeteria for the 2009 Valentine Wonderland Senior Citizen Dinner.

More than 180 people enjoyed music, dining and lots of door prizes donated by local businesses. Lively music was provided by the Augmented Jazz Duo, with Rotary President George Ehrmann on the trumpet and Cooperstown Rotarian Ed Badgley on the tenor sax.

Master of Ceremonies Ross Jones presented a fine program. Lisa Fassett and her cafeteria staff provided a great turkey dinner with all the trimmings, which was served by community volunteers and Rotarian members. Local scouts provided spotless service and beautiful placemats. Randy Moshier and his staff assisted the event by aiding in the set up and clean up, and by providing the tables, chairs and coat racks. Photographs by Larry Budro.
