Ice Harvest prepares for a cool summer
|
| | The traditional Millers Mills Ice Harvest was a success once again this past Sunday, as winter weather kept the lake frozen for the festivities. Pictured, local residents are loading the cut ice onto a horse drawn sled to be hauled to the ice house where it will be stored in insulating sawdust. Later in the year, on July 19, it will be used to make the celebrated Miller’s Mills ice cream. (Photo by Terry Berkson) | |
