Kid plays manager at Price Chopper store

Michael Oldick, 12, of Richfield Springs, played manager at Price
Chopper in Richfield Springs, July 28, after winning a drawing to be
“kid manager.” Oldick took a tour of the store, did some desk work,
reviewed advertisements, captained a meeting with the store’s
department managers and made an announcement on the store’s public
announcement system. Oldick’s temporary position came as part of Price
Chopper’s “Tons of Fun” day that also entailed an Oreo stacking
contest, a hula hoop contest, and a 60 second shopping spree, in which
a Chicago man racked up roughly $170 worth of groceries. Pictured are
Oldick and store manager Joe Pecorello.
