Vets host Oratorical competition
|
| | On Saturday, December 13 the American Legion Oratorical county segment was held at Richfield Springs Central School (RSCS). Participants had to deliver an eight to ten minute speech focusing on some aspect of the United States Constitution. Topics chosen by the contestants were “Establishing Universal Healthcare in the United States,” “Gun Control,” and “Censorship in America.” Participants included front row: Gideon Powers of Milford; Megan Ames, of Richfield Springs; and Eden Ward or Milford. Back row: Chuck Osterhoudt and Paul Zesewitz, members of event host American Legion Post 616 of Richfield Springs. Winner of the county contest was Powers who will now move onto district competition at Oxford Academy in January. (Photo by Bruce Watson) | | |
