Tickets go on sale for Hop Pickers Picnic

COOPERSTOWN – The Farmers’ Museum in Cooperstown is holding an
exciting evening of barbecue, beer, music, and hops demonstrations,
Saturday, Aug. 20, from 6 to 9 p.m. in celebration of the hops harvest.
The Hop Pickers Picnic features a dinner of pork and beef
barbecue provided by Piggy Pats B-B-Q from Washington Mills. There will
be beer sampling for guests 21 and over from several local breweries
including Brewery Ommegang, Cooperstown Brewing Company, and Matt
Brewing Company, the makers of Saranac beer.
Brewery Ommegang, located in Cooperstown, brews five
award-winning Belgian-style ales. The Cooperstown Brewing Company is a
microbrewery which brews premium ales, porters and stouts. Matt Brewing
Company, from Utica, produces six Saranac beers year-round and several
seasonal beers.
Tickets for the Hop Pickers Picnic are $20 per person and go
on sale Monday, July 18. It is a pre-ticketed event, so reserve your
ticket, which includes a barbecue dinner, beer sampling, music, and
