Conservative judge vote still not official
|
An official count in the Sept. 9 Otsego County Conservative primary was expected to be released no earlier than Wednesday, Sept. 17, according to Board of Elections Democratic Deputy Commissioner Cindy Jarvis.
“There are still some absentee ballots that are out. We have until today to receive them,” Jarvis said Tuesday. “If they are postmarked timely after today, we will count them.”
The primary determines who will hold the Conservative line in November, incumbent Judge Jill Ghaleb, who is running on the Democratic line, or her Republican opponent, John Lambert.
As of press time, Lambert had received 65 of the tallied votes and Ghaleb had 58.
