RS village clock repairs in works
by Janine Giordano |
For those of you keeping track of time via the village clock, you may have noticed time is not flying as fast as it usually does. That doesn’t necessarily mean you’re not having fun, or that someone has killed time. According to Marj Walters, the village’s clock savior, it has been determined that the clock is suffering from a defective chip that needs replacing. She also noted that it is not set for the new national daylight savings time, slated to take effect March 11. “Tell people not to worry,” she said. “The company is coming out from Syracuse to fix it, but first they have to order the chip,” she said. “Not to worry, don’t fuss with it. It’s taken care of. Like everything else, it can’t be done yesterday,” she added. Walters said the same company who restored the clock, Syracuse Time and Alarm, will be completing the repair.
