JORDANVILLE – Community Energy, Inc. (CEI), developer of the proposed Jordanville Wind Farm is currently preparing a Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) and Responsiveness Summary. This submission of complete documentation, to be released in February, addresses comments submitted to the lead agency regarding the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) and its accompanying Supplement (SDEIS). The DEIS and SDEIS, including photo simulations, are always available at www.jordanvillewind.com. Once released, the FEIS and Responsiveness Summary will also be found at www.jordanvillewind.com. The Responsiveness Summary is part of the State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) process and includes input from the environmental, civil and electrical engineers, as well as acoustic, visual and cultural experts studying the Jordanville Wind Energy Project. While the technical, environmental, and safety issues have been explored and addressed, concerns mainly revolve around visual impacts to historical resources south of the wind farm. CEI is working on mitigation that will enhance the affected areas in order to alleviate visual impacts on historic and cultural resources, officials said in a press release.
