May 21. Our annual chicken barbecue will be Monday, May 30, from 12
p.m. until we sell out.
The Sons of the American Legion are currently raffling tickets for a
Cub Cadet riding lawn mower. Tickets may be purchased for $5 each
within the Vet’s Club or through members.
We have a busy schedule involving our highly-esteemed Color Guard. Dates noted so far are:
April 27: Cobleskill Eastern Star flag folding ceremony
April 30: Cooperstown American Legion birthday ceremony
May 17: Flag dedication at Richfield Springs Price Chopper
July 16: Mohawk Field Days parade
Aug. 20: Korean War Veterans dedication at the Vet’s Club
These are just some of the events our busy men and women are
involved in, and I am sure the list will continue to grow. Many funeral
services are performed and other ceremonies are planned throughout the
year. A number of members follow in their footsteps in the parades and
behind the scenes. The new uniforms are sure to add to the already
sharp looking, proud “troop.” Come support these dedicated people and
show them how truly appreciated they are.
Until next time...
