Brookwood School considers Chili Fest success
|
COOPERSTOWN – The Brookwood School hosted its seventh annual Chili Fest, recently, and considered it a great success. Children played games and won prizes, painted pumpkins, and bounced the day away. Families enjoyed music provided by the Aurora North Bluegrass Trio, chili donated by area restaurants, and desserts baked by Brookwood parents. Everyone welcomed the opportunity to visit with friends and family and to make new friends, as Brookwood volunteers noted that many visitors were attending Chili Fest for the first time and traveled from outside the area to attend, which means that Chili Fest is truly becoming a community event. Gary Wehner and Tom Pullyblank cooked special homemade recipes, and the following restaurants donated chili dishes: The Bean, The Otesaga, Tunnicliff Inn, Hoffman Lane Bistro, Doubleday Cafe, The Fenimore House, Coachman’s Inn, and Harmony House.
