STARKVILLE – Town of Stark Superintendent Richard Bronner swore in
members of the Zoning Board of Appeals at the town meeting Tuesday,
March 8. The members included Dave Hardy, Lorna Eaker, Bruce Banks, and
John Skandera. The Zoning Board of Appeals will be available to the
public for any questions, concerns, and to oversee the decisions of the
Planning Board with anything that may go wrong.
They were scheduled to meet Tuesday, March 22, where Bronner would
present a sample agenda. They were also planning on appointing a board
supervisor and a clerk to record meetings. A scheduling of regular
meetings was discussed, as in whether to go monthly, quarterly, or to
hold meetings for special circumstances, but nothing had been decided.
“The Zoning Board of Appeals are very important and will set a tone in
town,” Bronner said.
Eaker was also approved to do the dog census. All dogs in Herkimer
County must be licensed, and to be licensed, must have verification of
a rabies vaccination. Eaker must go from house to house and license
dogs. Her compensation for this job is $.35 per mile and $.50 per dog
licensed, as required by Herkimer County.
